Notary Public Preston, Lancashire

Useful Information

This page provides general notary information to help you understand notary public charges, notarial fees in Preston and the process before you book notary services in Lancashire.

Charges

Our charges are as recommended by the Notaries Society and reflect our professional services as a trusted and professional notary provider: -

  • The hourly rate is £200 (no VAT) (plus disbursements where applicable)
  • Minimum fee is £75 (Most Notary Public tasks take a minimum of twenty minutes to complete, which includes making the appointment, checking identities and authorities, making, signing and sealing the certificate and making any appropriate records).

For documents that need to be legalised additional costs are incurred, such as the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) charge for Apostilles (stamp of approval of the British Government). This is currently £45 per Apostille per document.

Some countries will require further certification from the appropriate local Embassy or Consulate. Please enquire about this service as requirements can vary greatly by country, as can the time taken to process each document. This forms part of the wider notary public regulations that apply to international document use.

Estimates

It can often be difficult to estimate the time required for completion of a Notary Public service, as each circumstance can vary greatly.

I am happy, however, to provide guidance on the likely cost of my notary public services and these will be given on receipt of instructions and examination of any necessary documentation. Estimates will be based on the information supplied and will be given in writing.

This approach provides clear and practical certified notary guidance for both individuals and any business, company or firm requiring notarial services in Lancashire.

Payment

Payment can be made by:

  • Cash
  • Bank Transfer

This ensures a straightforward process when working with a notary services provider.
